Style Icon Victoria Beckham Releases Bridal Edit to Provide a ‘Cool Alternative’
She famously designed her BFF Eva Longoria’s wedding dress, and now Victoria Beckham has made her Bridal creations available to the public.
This makes us applaud with excitement, and (can we point out…) who would have thought the former Spice Girl and fashionista would want to take on the Bridal market?
However we’re pleased to say Mrs VB has debuted into the Bridal market this week and Front Row Bride is sure her seven-strong collection will become a hit with style-savvy Brides across the globe!
What You Need to Know…
Victoria’s Bridal Edit is available exclusively online and in her Dover Street store.
There are seven pieces in total, including dresses, tailored separates, a cami top, bag and gold heels making up her collection.
We haven’t spotted anything that resembles her own wedding dress yet (a full-skirted, strapless Vera Wang ensemble might we add).
Instead she’s designed a Bridal collection that is minimalist, chic, and one that provides streamlined alternatives to the conventional wedding dress. The designs very much match Victoria’s understated ethos as a fashion designer.
Let’s Talk Designs…
One floor length gown features sheer panelling and cap sleeves. It’s demure and refreshingly simple (price tag £1,990). There is a halter neck gown that has really caught our eye and you could draw comparison to Stella McCartney’s number the Duchess of Sussex wore for her evening wedding reception.
It’s stunningly chic offering a tailored couture look. Definitely a great option for Brides trying to channel their inner Megan! This dress is available to buy for £1,950.
Victoria has also designed ensembles for Brides who want to swap a traditional wedding dress in favour of Bridal separates. Her white satin tuxedo gets our vote; it creates a modern wedding day look and one we could totally imagine the fashion designer wearing herself.
The news of Victoria’s Bridal Edit was announced by the designer herself on her Instagram channel, where she wrote “Fluid dresses and tuxes are the cool alternative to Bridal style from my #VBPreAw19 collection x.”
