The Wedding Brands Helping Couples Through COVID-19
I simply have to start with Pronovias! One of my all-time favourite wedding dress brands. Plus, I got married in a Pronovias dress so my love for this design house is firmly cemented.
My admiration for Pronovias has gone one step further this week as they’ve announced a ‘Heroes’ campaign to celebrate the extraordinary work and selfless dedication of our medical staff in the fight against COVID-19.
I think it’s fair to say medical staff around the world, including our amazing NHS here on home-turf, do not define themselves as heroes and heroines but for the task they perform every day in my eyes they absolutely are. Pronovias Group Artistic Director Alessandra Rinaudo seems to agree and has curated a collection of wedding dresses which are available for hospital employed Brides-to-be to claim a free gown. It’s such a lovely thing for a powerhouse designer to do at this time. I’m slightly lost for words at their generosity. This is an amazing offer for hospital employed Brides to have something positive to focus on. Many NHS workers will have had their weddings postponed and / or cancelled which they more than likely cannot begin to process yet whilst working tirelessly on the frontline.
The Heroes Collection as it is so aptly called will be available exclusively in flagship stores. Click here to view flagship stores near you.
In order to claim your dream dress simply schedule an appointment at one of the selected stores during weekdays between Monday and Thursday. During your appointment, Pronovias bridal experts will guide you in selecting a dress from ‘The Heroes Collection.’ As the stock is limited, ensure you book your appointment early on. This initiative will last until August 31st (or while stocks last).
“It is an honour to show my support and raise awareness for all of these women doing their best to overcome this pandemic. Love will conquer all,” says Group Artistic Director Alessandra Rinaudo.
There isn’t a waiting list but the dresses selected for ‘The Heroes Collection’ are on a first come first serve basis. The collection is a set of dresses that Alessandra Rinaudo has selected specifically for today´s heroes; hospital staff fighting the global pandemic.
Things may be uncertain across the globe but two things that seem prevalent to me are love and kindness. I think Alessandra is right; love does conquer all.

Next up is a shout-out to Bloom Gin for putting a smile back on so many couples’ faces in the form of free gin. Yes, you read that right. My dad says nothing is free but, on this occasion, it actually is meaning brides and grooms up and down the country can apply for free miniatures of Bloom Gin for their rescheduled wedding day.
The free miniatures are only applicable to couples who have had to move their wedding day and your original wedding day has to fall between April 2020 and December 2020.
You can share your free Bloom gin miniatures with your guests as wedding favours to make it even more special. Bloom Gin simply ask that you take a snap to capture all the action!
Let the wedding beGIN.
Free ‘Rescheduled’ Wedding Invitations
This independent business caught my eye over on the gram and is definitely one for couples who need to reschedule their wedding day.
This boutique design studio specialises in luxury, custom wedding and event stationary. Their work is a thing of dreams. There isn’t a design I don’t like which is rare for me!
To help couples who have been forced to reschedule their wedding Reeba Rose are offering free digital postponement cards from their semi-custom suite styles.
Many couples have found themselves in a stressful situation which is out of their control. With this goes the financial impact; invitations need reprinting, personalised gifts are now void, the list goes on.
Reeba Rose’s offer to create free digital invitations hasn’t gone unnoticed. A small business trying to help in someway is really heart-warming.
